Running Clipboard Manager:

Upon launching Clipboard Manager the program will automatically add itself to the Windows system tray and begin collecting events associated with the Windows clipboard. Currently, Clipboard Manager filters collected item by either text, images, or system file objects including files and folders on the windows system.

Text, images and file objects are listed separately and can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the program. Each tabs will show captured clipboard events that can be individually selected. Hovering over items will display a preview selection of the entry. Captured items are compared against existing entries to identify duplicates. Duplicate entries are ignored, eliminating the unnecessary entries.

Severals options exist for items collected within Clipboard Manager:

  • Text can be pasted back into the clipboard for use with the paste icon.
  • Text can be pasted back into the clipboard as uppercase using with the 'U' icon.
  • Text can be pasted back into the clipboard as lowercase using with the 'L' icon.
  • Text can be pasted back into the clipboard trimming leading and trailing spaces using the 'scissor' icon.
  • The selected item can be expanded with the arrow, and finally the selection box on the top menu, adds the item to the ALT+C quick list.
  • Finally items can be selected and locked using the icons in the lower left. Locking the item prevents the item from being deleted using the delete button on the far right.
  • Images can be pasted back into the clipboard for use with the paste icon.
  • The Save icon will allow you to save the image in multiple different formats, including jpg, tiff, bmp, png, etc.

  • Files and folders can be pasted back into the clipboard for use with the paste icon.

Clipboard Manager Preview Window:

CLipboard Manager has a need hotkey feature to give quick access to selected text items. ALT-C will open the quick list window where ever your cursor is on the screen. Items selected in the text list will automatically appear. Simply click on the text and the value is automatically copied into the Windows Clipboard for use.

Clipboard Manager Preview Window:

Clipboard Manager gives the user the ability to preview the captured text, image, or file information in a preview window that can be opened by selecting the preview button on the left hand portion of the program. The options available within the preview window change with the selected tab and give the user the ability to modify the item further. The preview window will move with the Clipboard Manager window, but the option is available to lock the window in specific portion of the Windows screen. The lock icon is located in the lower left-hand portion of the preview window.

Options available within the Text Preview Window

  • Increase/decrease the display font
  • Change the display font
  • Disable or enable word wrapping options

Options available within the Image Preview Window

  • Enable or Disable the selection Mode which allows the user to select certain portions of the preview image and crop the selection as a new entry within the Clipbaord Manager image list.

Standard options

Clipboard Manager gives the user to load or save capture clipboard items to a output file. These options are available within the top menu bar. Within the top menu bar there are also options to disable/enable capturing items from the clipboard as well as purging and reconnecting the program to the Windows clipboard. At any point there are questions about an options, hovering over the the program icon, will display a helpful description.

Available Configuration options

Also avaialble within the top menu bar is a configuration option that allows for more user specific settings.

  • Set opacity of the program
  • Define desktop notification options
  • Enable or disable the option of running Clipboard Manager above all other programs and/or displaying the program immediately when ran.
  • A custom startup location can also be defined beside the default lower right-hand corner
  • configuring the initial displayed tab is also an option
  • Lastly, text analysis options flags can also be defined. When enabled these configured rules allow certain text to be identified and flagged for easy identification within the item list. Options available are reviewing text for leading or trailing spaces, print characters, length, or configurable text.
